  • Appointed to Dean of Academic Affairs at the San Francisco Art Institute, effective January 2017

  • Co-chaired the session "Feminist Pedagogy Through Activist Arts Practices" with Laura Elizabeth Sapelly, for the Committee on Women in the Arts at CAA 2017 in New York, NY, Feb 12-15, 2017. 

  • Appointed to a 3-year term as Trustee for Skowhegan School of Paining and Sculpture

  • Appointed to the Committee on Nominations for the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD)

  • Chaired the panel Limitations and Artistic Practice: Toward a Philosophical Reexamination at the 2016 SECAC Conference, Roanoke, VA Oct 19-22, 2016

  • Appointed to the College Art Association’s Committee on Women in the Arts (CWA). Term begins at the annual conference in February 2016 in Washington, D. C., and will continue through the annual conference in February 2019 in New York.  

  • Appointed Interim Dean and Vice President for Academic Affairs at the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI), beginning October 2015

  • Moderated a panel and presented her paper “The Bauhaus, Black Mountain College and the Philosophical Divide” at the 7th annual REviewing Black Mountain College: An International Conference at the University of North Carolina, Asheville, September 25-27, 2015
