Tuition & Costs

Annual tuition is charged for the 3-year course of study (60 credits). Upon completion of the course of study, a dissertation preparation fee of $2,500 is charged per semester. Most students complete their dissertation within 4 semesters.

Travel, Food, & Lodging

IDSVA provides room and board during the twenty-four day residency at Spannocchia Castle and covers lodging costs at other residency locations, such as Berlin, Venice, Paris, Athens and New York. IDSVA also covers the cost of curriculum-related travel during a residency period, as for example, from Spannocchia to Florence, Venice, Paris and Athens. Students are responsible for travel cost to and from residency locations, as for example, between their home and Italy, and between their home and New York. In New York, Berlin, Venice, Paris and Athens, students are responsible for most of their own meals.


Enrollment

If you are accepted to IDSVA, enrollment documents will be sent to you about two weeks after the admissions deadline. The signed enrollment documents should be returned within 30 days with an enrollment deposit of $250 in order to secure a seat in the upcoming enrollment. Your enrollment deposit is credited toward your tuition due amount.
