IDSVA at CAA (College Art Association) Conference

Look for IDSVA during the following CAA sessions in New York, NY from February 15-18, 2017.

Jason Hoelscher (IDSVA Student, Cohort '12) will chair the session Sensory Implication and Somatic Engagement, and present the paper "Reductive Art, Refractive Information and Emergent Simplicity."

Megan Koza Mitchell (IDSVA Student, Cohort '16) will chair the CAA session Defining Your Online Presence for the Arts Professional. As Chair of CAA's Student and Emerging Professionals Committee, she coordinates and runs the Student and Emerging Professionals Lounge, SEPC Mock Interviews, and the following Brown Bag Professional Development Workshops: Interview Strategies and Elevator Speech, Interview Follow Up and Networking Techniques, Application 101, Internships and Fellowships, Finding a Mentor, Alternative Careers in the Visual Arts, and Teaching Portfolios.

Jonathan Morgan (IDSVA Student, Cohort '15) will present the paper "Craftspersonhood: The Forging of Selfhood through Making" in the session The Maker Mentality, chaired by Ruth Dusseault.

Jennifer Rissler (IDSVA Student, Cohort '14), will co-chair the session Feminist Pedagogy Through Activist Arts Practices with Laura Elizabeth Sapelly, for the Committee on Women in the Arts.
