Independent Museum Curator
Laura has served as consulting curator of decorative arts for the Bowdoin College Museum of Art since 1989. A scholar of the decorative arts and cultural history, she has published extensively, including the landmark work Agreeable Situations: Society, Commerce and Art in Southern Maine, 1780-1830. In 2007 she completed a research fellowship on Maine furniture at the Henry Francis DuPont Winterthur Museum and Library. Laura has served as board member to organizations ranging from the American Ceramic Circle to Victoria Mansion and the Maine Historical Society.
