These deeply troubling and indeed shocking and frightening times leave many of us wondering: how did we go so wrong and what can we do to make these unjust, unkind, and horrible truths come right? To see fellow human beings murdered for the color of their skin, to see others trampled in the streets as they gather in outrage—we can only wish these images had no part in our daily life. But the hard truth they represent is common, all too common.

Dr. Jason Hoelscher (IDSVA PhD 2019) has been promoted to Associate Professor with tenure, Department of Interdisciplinary Art, Georgia Southern University. Professor Hoelscher's forthcoming book, Art as Information Ecology: Artworks, Artworlds, and Complex Systems Aesthetics, is due from Duke University Press in Spring 2021.
Dr. EL Putnam was appointed Lecturer in Digital Media at the National University Ireland, Galway in January 2019 and is currently Programme Director of the MA in Digital Media
